Welcome to The Autoist.

The Autoist is a Nigerian automotive and travel blog.

I catalog personal vehicles that I bought, repaired and/or converted in Nigeria. There is no importation of vehicles except for some parts and accessories. The aim is to encourage refurbishments and rebuilds in order to encourage and stimulate a cottage industry.

Additionally, I will showcase my trips and travels around Nigeria specifically, and Africa in general. One of my first international driving trips will be to The Gambia and will be billed as a “West Africa Expedition – 2022”. Subsequent trips to East, South and North Africa (perhaps with a crossing to Europe) will follow.

Private and commercial sponsorship opportunities will be available in the future and additional details will be provided.

Nigeria used to have a huge automotive culture in the 60’s and 70’s, there are lots of tourist attractions in Nigeria. I intend to marry these two hobbies of mine together and promote them.

Please follow my trials and tribulations here and on social media @TheAutoist_NG.

West Africa Expedition – 2022

Introducing “West Africa Expedition – 2022”.

Ultimate Africa Expedition is a series of road tours across Africa that aims to visit ALL countries in Africa and stop at its capital.

Preparation is on the way for the West African stage which is from Ibadan, Nigeria to Banjul, Gambia, and back to Ibadan. The outgoing route, the southerly route, will hug the Atlantic Ocean with a stopover at each capital along the West African coast where we will visit local tourist attractions and places of historical importance. Africa has a rich cultural heritage.
